History of Affliction Clothing:
Affliction Clothing was launched in August of 2005. At the time it was ran by Todd Beard, Tom Atencio, Clifton Chason and Eric Foss. The co-ownership was split in November 2008 when Todd Beard resigned due to Kim Couture, wife of the infamous Randy Couture, had filed for a restraining order against Todd Beard in a Clark County court.
Affliction Clothing as a Brand
Affliction Clothing line consists mainly of Affliction T Shirts, hoodies, jeans and more recently jackets and belts and even a range of caps. The style is very “skull and crossbone” inspired and has a very artistic flare to its designs. Affliction has a range of t shirts and many of them sport the logo of the worlds best MMA fighters, a few examples are: Randy Couture, George St. Pierre, Quinton Jackson (known better as ‘Rampage’). The list doesn’t just stop there, many of the worlds best professional boxers have also been spotted wearing Affliction T Shirts, such as undisputed middleweight champion of the world, Kelly Pavlik, Ring magazine and IBO light welterweight champion Ricky Hatton, by former undisputed middleweight champion of the world and hall-of-famer Bernard Hopkins, and by former WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito.
Affliction’s clothing line is also often seen being worn by WWE’s Edge, Mr. Kennedy, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Matt Hardy, Chavo Guerrero, Jr., Randy Orton, and Christian. Also some TNA Superstars like Sting, Samoa Joe and A.J. Styles wear these clothes. Criss Angel has seen wearing Affliction shirts on his show quite a lot. Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows is always seen sporting the latest Affliction T Shirt designs. The All-American Rejects have also been known to wear some of their clothes and Deen Castronovo, the drummer of the infamous band Journey.
The brand is growing bigger and bigger with every day that goes by, over time it has become more of an upscale mens boutique brand and the clothing line just keeps getting beter with its intricate designs and artwork that its known for world wide. Despite being banned by some nightclubs in Vancouver & Victoria because of percieved gang activity a spokesperson for Affliction Clothing shrugged this off and said it was purely a coincidence. Despite this Affliction are still growing and expanding worldwide. And for good reason too, no other brand has had so many original and unique designs as Affliction.
